GMHC proudly introduces Ballroom CARES!

The Ballroom CARES! program is a partnership between the House and Ball community (HBC) and community organizations, in an effort to provide the foundation for community mobilization and improve the health and well being of everyone in the House and Ball community.

GMHC’s Ballroom CARES! program provides leadership trainings, empowerment workshops, and community events and activities, to support community networking, community mobilization, and to promote a healthy community. 

Would you or your house family like to inspire, take action, and be the agents of change? Some examples can include the creation of: a social marketing campaign, a video public service announcement, a ballroom newsletter, a blog, a health fair, or a Ballroom HIV Testing Day. Other options can include examining ways to address health policies and funding in order to improve access to healthcare or protecting your and your community’s rights against discrimination.
